Morrisvale Lumberjack is an exciting new Australian AI sire which we will use in our breeding programme this coming Spring (2017). Lumberjack has a powerful combination of explosive growth and outstanding maternal traits. He will inject calving ease, short gestation, good scrotal and great temperament into his calves. He has good muscle expression particularly in the hind quarter with tremendous volume through the rib. Lumberjack is homozygous polled. He is an outcross to most NZ bloodlines.
His sire is a full brother to Morrisvale Kept Secret which won Supreme Champion Bull at this year’s Sydney Royal. We attended Sydney Royal and were impressed with his phenotype.
